Understanding True Quality
The Free Enterpise System is truly a quality company. There are the many things that the customer can see and feel to get a sense of quality. There are also many behind the scenes aspects of quality. To help you better understand how we define and deliver quality, we offer these criteria and hope that they will help you evaluate your transportation company choice:
Behind The Scenes Aspects
Identifying Customer Needs - To ensure we understand your needs and special care situations, in such areas as: entertainment, food, beverage, special equipment, wheelchair passengers, and route and time flexibility.
Punctuality - Knowing your schedule and what is involved in detail. We ensure that the drivers know what hours they must be available to the group, and if the driver must stay at the same hotel to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
References - We have a customer retention rate of 98% - that is loyalty. We are happy to provide references for similar type groups traveling on similar type programs.
Safety Rating - We are happy to supply our ICC and DOT numbers. Such numbers are assigned by the U.S. Government and are required to operate legally. With these numbers you can call the Federal Highway Administration's Office of Motor Carriers at 1-800-832-5660 to verify our safety rating.
Insurance - We will provide our Certificate of Insurance that shows our levels of insurance and effective policy dates. Accepted levels of insurance for a quality company are a minimum of $5 million for combined single-limit liability.
Fleet Size and Average Age - Can the company meet your needs or will it sub-contract services? We operate over 150 coaches and it is one of the youngest and most modern fleets with an average age of 3 years.
Driver Quality And Average Time With The Company - We strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation driver regulations. We can supply a copy of our written drug policy and drug testing program. We strongly enforce a drug-free workplace. FYI - The DOT limits drivers to 10 hours of continuous service. If your itinerary requires more than the limit, we will provide you with our driver relief program. On average, our drivers have been with us for 10 years.
Driver Training - Our training is extensive and we will provide you a summary. We are the only company that requires drivers to complete "Skid-Pad" training - a closed course program where drivers practice handling emergency situations.
Emergency Coverage - We will provide the customer with procedures for on-the-road emergencies. We have access to a nationwide reciprocal maintenance agreement which will assure you of prompt servicing of equipment in all regions of the U.S.A.
Kick the Tires - We make our facilities available for inspections if you'd like to take a look around. You can tell a lot about a company just by looking.
Technology - How well equipped are the coaches? - Our investment in quality starts with the vehicle purchase. We provide video- and Wi-Fi equipped coaches. We have a collection of up to date movies to help pass the hours. Sports teams can even view game videos; a great way to see your opponent, or review the day's performance. Our coaches have plug-ins for those with laptops who want to check email or surf the web during their journey.
Special Services - We have the largest ADA equipped fleet in the Midwest. Every new motorcoach we now order has ADA seating capability, wheelchair tie-downs and powered lifts. All of our drivers are trained to support, with care, our wheelchair passengers.
